RV Composite Work
All too often we hear of the frustration builders have with completing the composite finish work on their RV aircraft. It isn’t because of quality issues in the part - we’ve actually found that stock and aftermarket RV composite parts usually fit quite nicely! Most of the time, aluminum kit builders are either unfamiliar with composite finishing techniques, or just don’t want to mess with it.
In any case, we’re here to help! We can travel to your location to do the work, or you can bring the plane to us (if it’s flying). Normal finishing time for all composite parts is in the neighborhood of 4 or 5 days on a typical Vans aircraft. This includes all surface prep up through and including primer - all that is required when we’re done is the final primer and color coats.
We’re also happy to paint it for you in the color(s) of your choosing in our dedicated paint booth (for aircraft that come to us of course!)
